We changed our school day as of September 2025 to allow us to deliver our teaching and learning strategy of deeper applied learning, as well as provide our students with the opportunity to come together every morning to reflect on their learning and to discuss issues with are pertinent to them. We want to provide our students with the time to enjoy their learning and apply knowledge and skills to different contexts, whilst being supported by their mentor. 

The total weekly figure for the compulsory time students spend in school is 32.5 hours, at Reading Girls' School students spend 34 hours and 10 minutes at school.
