Reading Girls' School

Y7 Induction Day

New Y7's visit Reading Girls' School

On Thursday 7 July, we welcomed our new starters for September 2011. It is the largest new intake for several years: we are expecting over 150 new students. The girls arrived early, met with their tutors and spent the first hour getting to know their new classmates. During the day they tried out some new lessons and started to find their way around the school, including lunch in the canteen. They left at 2.45 after an assembly, and returned with their parents in the evening. After addresses by Mrs Angus, Mr Bish and two year 7 students (Stephanie Linkens and Ayesha Khan) parents were taken to meet the tutors. The girls and their parents had a wealth of questions to ask of all the staff who were on hand. We very much look forward to welcoming them all back on Wednesday 7 September.
