Homework
Homework provides the opportunity for students to continue their learning outside the timetabled curriculum. It is a vital tool for raising student achievement and provides opportunities to develop skills that students will use beyond Reading Girls’ School when they go to university or into the world of training or employment.
Homework enhances students’ learning, improves achievement and develops study skills; as such, it is an integral part of the curriculum. Homework gives students the responsibility to take control of their own learning. We aim to empower our students with the key skills for independent study. Not all homework is done at home; in fact, for some students who find it hard to work at home, or for some tasks which may require resources (books, software, equipment etc.) which are more readily available at school, it is necessary or desirable to carry out the task at school.
Homework is assigned regularly in line with each department's guidelines, ensuring consistency and alignment with curriculum goals.
All homework is set on Edulink.
