Parent View
Parent View
Parent View is an online facility launched by Ofsted in October 2011 that allows parents and carers to give their views about their child's school at any time of the school year. The questionnaire is also the main mechanism for parents to give their views to inspectors about their child's school at the time of a school inspection.
The questionnaire can be accessed directly at www.parentview.ofsted.gov.uk or from the home page of Ofsted's website www.ofsted.gov.uk

Raising a Concern or Making a Complaint:
We understand that parents may have concerns from time to time, and we want to reassure you that this is completely normal. Most concerns can be quickly and easily resolved by speaking with your child’s Head of Year, Academic Mentor or Head of Department as soon as they arise.
- A concern is a question or worry that can usually be resolved through discussion with school staff. This might include queries about homework or incidents at school. We encourage parents to raise concerns early so we can work together to resolve them informally. In many cases, a quick conversation is all that is needed.
- A complaint is a formal, serious matter where a parent believes the school has acted unfairly or failed in its duty of care. This may include significant concerns about a child’s progress, the quality of teaching, or disciplinary decisions. Complaints should only be made if an issue has not been resolved through discussion with the relevant staff member.
If you have a concern, please don’t hesitate to speak to the appropriate member of staff who may be your child’s subject teacher/ Head of Department ( if it is an academic matter) ; Academic Tutor/ Head of Year ( if it is a pastoral matter).
We are here to help and support you. If a concern cannot be resolved informally, we will guide you through the next steps of our formal complaints procedure.
To make a complaint, please email the Principal's PA: eshort@readinggirlsschool.net
