The school is one of the top-performing schools in Reading and across the surrounding counties of Berkshire, Oxfordshire and Wiltshire. As the school continues to grow, we are seeking talented and exceptional staff to join us as we further develop our already strong and ambitious community.

Reading Girls’ School is a partially selective secondary school for girls aged 11–17. Our vision is to develop well-rounded young people who are confident, capable, and prepared to take their place in local, national and international communities.

The school is the top-performing non-selective school in Reading, with an
Attainment 8 score ● 51.7
% of pupils achieving a grade 5 or above in GCSE English and maths (combined) ●54.5%
% of pupils entered for the English Baccalaureate (EBacc) :55.1%
% of pupils staying in education or going into employment after KS4 : 91% (2023)

Our continued success is reflected in the Ofsted inspection of November 2021, which judged the school to be Good with Outstanding features. We are committed to supporting staff at every stage of their career and offer extensive opportunities for professional development and progression.
