Olympic Torch Visits Reading

The Olympic Torch Relay passed by Reading Girls' School today

Although closed to students, the staff were in for all types of training, and took a few minutes to cheer the Relay Convoy as it passed the school site. The flame was exchanged right outside the school! it was passed from James Kemp (Member of the British Red Cross supporting young people) to Ian Willett (Senior instructor for the British Canoe Union) It was a lovely sunny morning and a great start to our inset day. We hope many of you also took the opportunity to encourage the torch bearers. There are more pictures in Parents; School Gallery; Olympic Torch Relay.
