Roald Dahl Day
Fundraising Fever hit Reading Girls' School on Friday 27 September!
On Friday 27 September, the school was taken over by fundraising fever! Y7, Y8, and Y9 participated in Roald Dahl Day. Staff and students donated £1 to dress as a Roald Dahl character, or to wear a yellow accessory, raising £136 for Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Childrens Charity. We had lots of Matilda’s; Verruca Salt’s and witches; although we did get a Charlie, little Red Riding Hood and The Twits!
Y10 and Y11 were invited to donate £1 to dress as something they aspire to be raising £137 for the local Whitley charity.
Curriculum support ran a cake sale for the Macmillan appeal, raising £125, a similar sale in the staff room netted £50!
